The left defender, Yahaya Mbegu, has posted a message of gratitude to Ihefu on his Instagram page, saying "THANK YOU Mbogo Maji."
Mbegu is rumored to be joining Simba to replace Gardiel Michael, whose contract with Simba has ended and he has been allowed to leave.
Mbegu has been performing well since his time at Polisi Tanzania, Geita Gold, and Ihefu.
Singida Fountain Gate FC is also mentioned as a contender for signing the player, who previously passed through Simba's youth team.
Simba announced their departure from Gardiel Michael earlier last week, as he had never been a consistent part of the first team since joining the club.
Gadiel joined Simba from Yanga SC, where he was a regular player in the first team.
Before playing for Yanga, Gadiel also had a stint at Azam FC, where they won the league championship.
Currently, Simba is in a phase of rebuilding its squad, as they have failed to shine for two consecutive seasons, while their rivals Yanga SC dominate Tanzanian football.
In his four years at Simba, Gadiel Michael has won the Mainland Premier League title four times, the FA Cup twice, and has reached the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League three times, as well as the CAF Confederation Cup twice.
Information from close sources to the player suggest that he may join Namungo FC, Mtibwa Sugara, or Singida Fountain Gate FC, all of which have plans to strengthen their squads."
